Health Services Specialist - CNA or CMA 2 positions one temp
Job description
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Bilingual English/Spanish licensed (CMA, CNA) professional with expertise in child health to coordinate and implement health services for Head Start program in Morris Plains area.
Responsibilities:

Conduct community outreach to enhance health and well-being of families served.

Perform children's health screenings and assessments, and manage health records and data.

Monitor and report on children's immunization status.

Manage and submit electronic documents for Child Care Food Program.

Coordinate health-related community events and referrals for health services.

Provide first-response care and support staff in classrooms when a child becomes ill.
-
Follow up on children's health-related absences.
-
Oversee facility health and safety, including emergency response planning.
Qualifications:

License or certification in nursing (CMA, CNA) preferred, or on the path to complete credential within 18 months of hire.

Bachelor's degree in a related field considered.

Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.

Strong computer skills.
-
CPR and First Aid to be completed within six months of hire.

At least one year of experience working with children and families.

Knowledge of community health resources.

Valid NJ Driver's license.

Must pass required background and fingerprint checks and submit physical attesting to health status to work with young children.
